TRANSFER NEWS MANCHESTER EYE GAITAN........

UNITED EYE GAITAN
Manchester United are in pole position to sign Nicolas Gaitan from Benfica, according to reports in Portugal.
Newspapers A Bola and O Jogo both claim United are favourites to acquire the midfielder should they put in a bid that matches Benfica's valuation.
Atletico Madrid are also reportedly keen on the
27-year-old, who has been a United target for several years.
RAMOS 'ONE OF THE BEST'
Former Real Madrid assistant coach Paul Clement has described Sergio Ramos as one of the best players he has ever worked with.
Clement worked with the defender for two years at Madrid before becoming Derby County boss.
He told Sky Sports: "He is a wonderful player, one of the best I have ever worked with."
Manchester United have made a bid of £28.6m for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, according to Sky sources.
Sky sources also understand that Ramos has told Madrid he wants to leave the club and join Louis van Gaal's side.
Widespread reports in the British and Spanish media have linked the defender, who has two years left on his contract at the Bernabeu, with a move to Old Trafford.

DEMBELE WANTS ASSURANCES
Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele wants talks with boss Mauricio Pochettino over his future at the club, reports the Mirror.
The Belgian has two years left on his Spurs deal, but fell down the pecking order last season behind the likes of Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason.
He said: "After my holidays, I'll talk to the boss about my future at Spurs. We will see."
JUVE WANT CUADRADO
Juventus are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Juan Cuadrado, according to reports in Italy.
Club CEO Beppe Marotta told Tuttosport that they would be keen to bring the Colombian back to Serie A on loan.
Marotta said: "We are open to all possibilities. If Chelsea were open to releasing him on loan, we’d be very happy with that.”
BURNLEY TARGET VOSSEN
Burnley are in negotiations with Genk over striker Jelle Vossen, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.
The Belgian spent last year on loan at Middlesbrough, and now the relegated Clarets are eyeing a move for him.
Genk have reportedly set a price tag of 3-4million euros (£2.1-£2.8m), which Burnley have yet to match.
PAREJO PENS NEW DEAL
Valencia captain Dani Parejo has signed a new long-term contract at the club.
The midfielder, 26, has extended his contract until the summer of 2020. Parejo, who has reportedly interested Liverpool in the past, admits he is delighted to have secured his long-term future.
“[Today] is one of the happiest days of my life,” he is quoted as saying in AS. “It was what I wanted, everyone knew it and I relied on being able to close this deal, I have always said that there is no other club where I could be more happy [than I am here]. I am very happy and identify with the Valencia fans and I can only thank the club and the fans for their confidence”.
BRUCE FUMES AT INCE SALE
Hull City boss Steve Bruce has been left livid about the sale of Tom Ince to Derby, according to the Mirror.
Ince joined Derby on Friday on a four-year deal after the Rams activated his buy-out clause. But Bruce believes the Tigers should have blocked the move.
“I certainly wouldn’t have sold Tom and I did all I could to keep him,” said Bruce. “We shouldn’t be selling our top young players when trying to put together a team to challenge for an immediate return to the Premier League."
LIVERPOOL'S RECRUITMENT
Liverpool have been very busy in the transfer market so far this summer, but what do their signings tell us?
"The Brazilian No 10 looks to be the signing to provide the star quality in the final third that Liverpool lacked last season..."
ENRIQUE WANTS ARDA
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has requested the signing of Atletico Madrid playmaker Arda Turan, according to one of the Camp Nou club’s presidential candidate.
Josep Maria Bartomeu, who is running to be Barca president again after serving in the post between January 2014 and last month, says Enrique wants to recruit Turan.
Speaking to Cadena SER, he said: “Luis Enrique has asked for him. The priorities for the coach were Aleix Vidal and Arda. The board needs to sign a player like him – they have to. They must sign Arda and incorporate him as soon as possible so that he can start the pre-season.
"Before stepping down, we left everything in an advanced state which is why we have the information we need. I am not in contact with the board but the statutes should always be respected as long as it is to the benefit of the club. I don’t know whether Arda can wait 10 days. I hope to make it official in due course and the price we have set is less than €35m (£25m).”
